This book captures the life and environment of the beautiful village of Sydling St Nicholas, mainly through photographs all of which were taken by residents of the village.

Local villagers have also helped provide much of the accompanying text either through interviews or in their own written words. Some historical background is also provided to put recent events into context but the main aim is to reflect life in a typical Dorset village during the beginning of the third millennium.

A subsidiary aim of the book is to provide a piece of social history for those who in years to come may be interested in recapturing past times.

Other features of the book:

  • Highly commended by 'Dorset Life'
  • Over 200 colour photographs
  • Articles on farming, local industries, wild flowers and bird life
  • Short articles about St Nicholas Church, the Court, the tithe barn and other local buildings
  • Ideal souvenir for visitors or as a present for friends and relatives of villagers.
  • Exceptional value at £7.99 per copy plus postage.
