The speaker at the Society’s second meeting of the winter season was Stephen Griffiths, Curator of Abbotsbury’s Sub-Tropical Garden. It is over one hundred years since any major work has been carried out on the bells at St Nicholas church and following an inspection by the Bellfounder and Bellhanger John Taylor & Co. of Loughborough, we are now in a position to begin fundraising for a restoration project.
